Description:
2 autograph pay orders on single sheets 9x18.5 cm (3½x7¼") & 11x21 cm. (4½x8¼").
Two pay orders for soldiers who fought in the Battle of Lexington (Lexington Alarm). The first to Oliver Adams, the second to "the Selectmen of Killingley for 2 soldiers that went in the Lexington Alarm". Both signed by Oliver Ellsworth as member of the Connecticut's Pay Table Committee and countersigned by John Laurence as Treasurer of Connecticut, the latter document also signed by Ez. Williams.
