BAL 9320 - "Surplus Duplicate, Library of Congress" copy, stamped & dated on verso of title page November 27, 1903. This synopsis, printed for copyright protection, is one of several theatrical projects (all unproduced) devised by Baum & the popular novelist Emerson Hough (The Mississippi Bubble). The text is included in the 1958 Musical Fantasies of L. Frank Baum. This is one of only two known copies, this being the copy that sold as Lot 101 in the Swann/Schiller sale in 1978, where it sold for $650 (hammer price). Last page detached, lacking small bottom corner of title page, else near fine. Accompanied by 8pp. photocopy of another unproduced musical synopsis: Prince Silverwings by Edith Ogden Harrison & L.
